Pastor – David Packard   

 

 

Dave was raised in Connecticut and came to know the Lord under the ministry of Evangelist (then pastor) Paul Mershon in May of 1990 after moving to San Diego, California. During that time, he met Heather at Fundamental Baptist church in Escondido. They were married in 1993 and have been blessed with four children, Kaitlyn, Jonathan, Aimee, and Josiah. Our girls are now married, and we have five grandchildren and one on the way! Jonathan serves our country in the United States Air Force and Josiah is married to Makaela and they are here helping us! Dave attended Ambassador Baptist College and was ordained in 2009 under the ministry of Joshua Gregg of Ponderosa Baptist Church in Flagstaff, Arizona. Dave and his family have served in a variety of ministry opportunities and accepted the call to pastor the Big Valley Bible Baptist church in April of 2017.

 

 

 

Founding Pastor – H. Eugene "Gene" Wilburn    

 

Pastor and Mrs H. Eugene "Gene"  Wilburn founded Big Valley Bible Church in 1980 and served faithfully from that time until April 2017 at which time leadership of the church was turned over to Pastor Packard. Pastor Wilburn passed away in July of 2022, at almost 92 yrs old. God used him to plant Galt Bible Church in 1956. He gave over 60 years to his Lord in the Gospel preaching business. He is survived by his dear wife Lorrraine.
